Typer builds a command-line interface directly from a regular Python function’s type hints — arguments, options, help text, and shell completion all generated automatically, with validation coming from the same type annotations FastAPI uses for request validation.

From the same creator as FastAPI, and deliberately similar in feel — if you already know FastAPI’s style, Typer’s API will feel immediately familiar. A good default over hand-rolling argparse for anything beyond a trivial script.
