Requests Library
Simple, elegant HTTP library for making requests and working with web APIs
Visit Requests Library →Requests turned HTTP in Python from something genuinely tedious with the standard library’s urllib into a couple of readable lines — requests.get(url).json() covers the overwhelming majority of “call an API and get the response” use cases. It’s the library most Python developers reach for first when calling an API, years after the language got a built-in alternative.
It’s synchronous only, though — HTTPX offers the same style of API with both sync and async clients if you need to make requests from inside an async codebase.
