discuss.python.org is where the language’s actual governance happens — PEP discussions, Steering Council announcements, and core developer debate about proposed changes, in the open. It replaced the old python-dev and python-ideas mailing lists as the primary venue for this kind of discussion.

Not a beginner help forum — it’s aimed at people following or contributing to Python’s evolution as a language, closer in spirit to reading a standards body’s mailing list than a typical Q&A community. For everyday help instead, see Python Discord or r/learnpython.
